For any project that is too large to estimate over the phone, we will need to schedule a smart home consultation at the property or review drawings before we can provide a quote.
After you have reviewed or discussed your proposal with us, we will await your response. We will never use high pressure sales or put a rush on a job. However, please note that prepared estimates are valid for 30 days due to ongoing supply disruptions.
When the scope of work and products outlined in the estimate have been approved, we will convert the work order to an invoice and send you a secure link to submit your deposit, which is typically 70% of the total invoice amount. Please note, we cannot order or schedule your installation until the security deposit is received.
Once we receive your deposit for the agreed-upon scope of work, we will order any specialized equipment needed. Typically, gear takes 3-5 business days to arrive from the order date, unless otherwise specified.
We will reach out to schedule your installation once we have tracking confirmed for your order. Installation time can vary based on the complexity of the scope of work.
When installation day arrives, you will receive an en route text message with your lead technician’s estimated time of arrival (ETA). To protect your floors and furniture, we use drop cloths and plastic coverings while bringing in boxes and tools.
For installations requiring multiple phases or extending over several days/weeks/months, you can trust that your project will remain our highest priority. Our dedicated team is committed to completing the work efficiently and with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring your confidence in choosing Modern Smart Home as your trusted partner.
Should any unexpected issues occur during your installation, we will consult with you before moving forward with any additional tasks. Any associated costs will be clearly outlined under “Additional Items” at the bottom of your final invoice.
When your installation is complete we will walk you through your system functionality . Once you have an understanding of how your smart home product(s) work and approve the installation we collect your final payment.
Warranty: We provide a 90-day guarantee on our workmanship and installation services. For all equipment and gear, we adhere to the terms of the manufacturer’s warranty.
