For any project that is too large to estimate over the phone, we will need to schedule a smart home consultation at the property or review drawings before we can provide a quote.
Once we have sent your proposal we will await your response. We’ll never use high pressure sales or put a rush on a job, however prepared estimates have an expiration of 30 days to to the ongoing supply disruptions.
Once you agree to the scope of work and products used in the estimate, we will covert this to an official invoice and send to your along with a link for a security deposit in the amount of 70% of your total invoice unless otherwise verbally negotiated. No ordering or scheduling can be done prior to receiving a security deposit.
Once we receive your deposit for the scope of work, we will order any special equipment required. Gear typically takes 3-5 business days to arrive from the date of the order.
Once your order is placed and we have tracking for shipping, we will reach out to schedule your installation. Installation time can vary based on the complexity of the scope of work.
When installation day approaches, you can feel confident in your decision to use Modern. You should receive an in-route text message from your lead technician when they are 15-20 minutes away. When bringing in boxes and tools, we use drop cloths and plastic to protect your floors from any damage.
If your installation is in multiple phases or will take more than one day to complete, rest assured that your project is our first priority. We will work hard to make sure your job is completed in a timely and through manner.
Once your installation is complete, we will give you a through explanation of how your system works. Once you have an understanding of how your smart home product(s) work and approve the installation we collect your final payment.
We will always discuss any possible extra charges before completing any work. Any additional charges will be categorized as “Additional Items” at the bottom of your final invoice.
Warranty: We provide a 90-day warranty on our workmanship and installation. HDMI and Optical cables are included in this warranty in addition to programming bugs, replacing faulty audio and video equipment. All equipment with a manufacturer’s warranty should be replaced or repaired using their specific return processes.
