What does Control4 Daylight do?+
Daylight gradually adjusts the brightness and color temperature of compatible tunable-white lighting throughout the day. With VIBRANT lighting, Modern can program warmer morning light, brighter and cooler daytime light, and a softer evening setting around the sun or your preferred schedule.
Will Daylight change the color of any light bulb?+
Color-temperature changes require compatible tunable-white lights and controls. A conventional dimmable bulb can change brightness, but adding a keypad alone does not make it tunable white. We specify the VIBRANT products and programming that support your intended experience.
Are all Lux outlets smart outlets?+
Lux duplex and GFCI outlets provide a coordinated look with Lux controls. Automated on/off operation requires a suitable controlled outlet or switched circuit, which we specify separately for the connected device.
Is centralized lighting only for new construction?+
It is easiest during construction, but wireless Control4 lighting and smart bulbs can modernize many existing homes without opening every wall.
Can Control4 lighting work during an internet outage?+
Core local lighting control continues to operate because professional Control4 lighting is not dependent on a cloud connection for normal in-home use.
Can you coordinate lighting with our builder and designer?+
Yes. We coordinate loads, fixtures, drivers, keypad intent, reflected ceiling plans and scene requirements so controls and architecture are designed together.
