Yes. You choose the provider and plan available at your address. We assess its modem or gateway and design the routing, switching, wiring and Wi-Fi around it. Where supported, we coordinate gateway settings so the home network operates cleanly. Your provider still determines the internet service entering the property.
We recommend the access points around your devices, floor plan, internet service and upgrade goals. Wi-Fi 6 remains a capable choice for busy connected homes. Wi-Fi 7 adds capabilities for newer compatible devices, including access to the 6 GHz band on suitable equipment. Placement and the wired network matter with either choice; a newer standard alone does not eliminate dead zones.
No. Multi-gig connections support more than 1 gigabit per second on compatible wired links. We can plan 2.5 or 10 gigabit connections where they are useful, with matching cabling, switches, router ports and devices. Each device is limited by its own connection, and internet speeds also depend on your provider and plan. Many TVs and automation devices need dependable connectivity rather than multi-gig speed.
Where the device supports it and wiring is practical, Ethernet provides a dedicated connection and reduces traffic competing for Wi-Fi airtime. We typically wire compatible TVs, Ethernet-equipped Apple TV models, controllers, audio/video equipment and access points. Phones, tablets and wireless smart devices still receive carefully planned Wi-Fi coverage.
